Morgan County has several collections of Primary Source Materials. These rich legacies left in journals and photographs provide the present generation with a wealth of knowledge about our history. The Chronicles of Upper Burnet This is daily journal written by a 26 year old farmer, William Gregory Harrison, who lived with his mother and father and younger brother in Jefferson Township. It covers the daily life of a farm family from October, 1880, to May, 1881. It has been edited to identify many of that farm community as well as some relatives and acquaintances in Martinsville at that time.
